Elise Thorn concentrates her practice in the areas of civil litigation, including complex and commercial litigation and intellectual property law. In the area of intellectual property, Elise assists clients with the prosecution of trademark applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, trademark counseling and licensing, copyright registration, counseling and licensing and infringement litigation in both federal and state courts. Elise is associated with international IP law firms and agencies, providing interested clients with intellectual property resources in most countries.

Elise was admitted to the California Bar and the Hawaii Bar in 1990. She graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and received her law degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, in 1989.

Elise is a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association and the California Bar and is a member of the Intellectual Property sections of both. Ms. Thorn is also a member of the International Trademark Association and the Hawaii Women Lawyers.

Elise lives in Honolulu with her husband Matt and their two young sons, Tucker and Max.
